I purchased this tent with 3 main requirements in mind:-1 - Large porch area for luggage and cooking space.2 - Quality of materials (tent needed to be sturdy, waterproof and well-made).3 - Value for money ( not sure how often it would be used so didn't want to break the bank !)I researched all similar products carefully and chose the Vango Beta because it answered all the requirements. I was lucky enough to see one pitched and I was amazed at the amount of room in the porch area and loved the fact that the groundsheet was fully linked in - so no horrid gaps for rainwater to come in. It was a lot less expensive than similar tents - which seemed to have fancier technical spec ( which I thought was overkill for a family camping trip ) I was also reassured by Vango's reputation - but had no real idea whether that would prove to be justified. We went to Dorset for our first trip - and the tent had to withstand very strong winds and lashing rain - and we had no problems at all with it - very reassuring - and I was very impressed by the quality of the whole tent. The groundsheet is very good and very quick to dry if the entrance gets wet and muddy from your boots in bad weather. The ventilation was impressive and there are lot of varied entrance/window adjustments to suit different situations. Although it is sold as a 3 man tent - I specifically chose it to be a roomy 2 man, and it felt very spacious in the sleeping area. The porch had the whole family's food, cooking and eating equipment in - plus a large suitcase - and there was still plenty of room to sit in it and make meals if the weather was bad.It was easy to take down on one's own - but it was handy to have a second person to keep the hooped poles upright for the initial pegging out of the flysheet. we practised a couple of times at home first - and it soon became a 'doddle' !I would highly recommend this tent to anyone who is going on a 'normal' camping holiday. It is obviously too big to take on a walking/camping trek - but it is not pretending to be that type of tent.....I absolutely loved it and I am very proud to own it. It also looks fantastic in the Treetops/Dove colour scheme - and it looked like a much more expensive tent than it was in reality. Can't wait to go on my next trip!!!!Well done Vango for producing something of excellent quality for a reasonable price - that does exactly what you need it to do !!!!!

Complete novice when erecting a tent. Took me 3 attempts and about 45mins first time round. However, only took me 10-15mins second time round. Very good quality tent and a great size. My 8 year old son had 3 friends with him and they all slept comfortably. Liked the bug nets and the handy pockets in the sleeping area. Very easy to dismantle and fold away. I actually got it back in the carrier it came in!

Service from this seller was brilliant- item arrived sooner than expected. The elastic in one of the poles was broken but upon contacting them a replacement was sent immediately with next day delivery.Tent was quick and easy to pitch- only took me and my father 15mins first time. Not yet been used in wet and windy conditions but it seems very sturdy so have high hopes for this tent!
