The problem with butane, is that it won't change to gas at low temperatures, and this is made worse by the cooling of the cartridge whilst it is being used. Consequently, butane disposable cartridges are almost useless for the British weather.However, if you were to use gas in its liquid state, like this stove, then the above restrictions are not a problem.If only Coleman/Campingaz would admit this.Alternatives are the, GoSystems Thermopro or Apollo or Flexi-fuel and Coleman Fyrestorm.
