By J. Kram
For some reason Amazon would not deliver this tent in Norway, so I had to have it delivered in Denmark and pick it up there. But it was well worth the effort. I'm used to severeal Norwegian brands of tents that all are of good quality, but usually start in the +300 euro range.I think this 100 euro tent is just as good as them, at a third of the price. The tent does note have stormflaps at the edges, so I would not trek with it in norwegian winter, but all other seasons are GO.I pitched it in the garden for the first time yesterday and it took me about 120 seconds plus pegging. The trick is to go slow so that the aluminium rods don't come apart in the channel. Takedown is even faster, but I have not found a good way for packing it smaller than the carry bag it came with.I found the tent roomy for two people, and faitly easy to get in and out of. Several pockets, and a roof net to store stuff, and a hook in the top or a lantern. This is a well designed and thought out tentI spent the first night in it last night and I can gurantee that ou will not get wet. We had continous heavy rain all night (so much that severe flooding has been reported in some parts of the county), but the tent kept the water out. I'm very impressed. If I shold suggest some improvements, it would be to design a compression bag for it, and to have pockets for the ropes for when the tent is in the bag. Its much easier to find the ropes when they are in a pocket on the tent.

By winterwonderer
I put this tent up in the living room to check out the new connect system. My first impression was that all Coleman have done is fixed the first section of poles in their holding rings, which leaves you to connect the poles in the normal manner and thread them through their sleeves. So not that revolutionary. I reckon the time saved is probably about two minutes. I decided to actually detach the poles from the tent as I didnt like the idea of packing the tent away with the poles in direct contact with the tent plus I wanted the option of packing the tent up smaller than the length of the poles. Saying that I bought the Tauri because I have every confidence in the Coleman XPonent range. I have used an Avior on many winter camping trips to Snowdonia and the Lake Disrict and it was as solid as a rock in heavy wind as well as keeping me dry. I also used that same tent on a 10 week cycle tour of France and I was absolutely delighted with it and to think it only cost me £75. Decided to go for the Tauri as I am feeling my age now and I appreciate the extra headroom that it offers and also found this one for £75. Great, great value.

By Mark
That little tent is brilliant. Very stable, Takes 5 / 10 minutes to put up including pegging time, stacks of room inside to sleep and store all your gear plus enough head room and space for two to sit up if the weather is bad. Worst case scenario, the little over hang at the front of the tent offers enough cover to cook in the door opening whilst still keeping dry. (NEVER WITH FOSSIL OR SOLID FUELS OBVIOUSLY!) Inside is packed with little features like a lantern hook, small valuables net in the roof for watches and wallet etc and variable air vents to keep the moisture build up down and the air flowing through on warm days. The whole thing packs away in 5 minutes into a decent sized compression sack and is light enough to strap to your backpack without it pulling too much. My only complaint would be the pegs which are weird very small headed alloy pegs. Obviously designed for weight benefits but damned uncomfortable to try and pull out of the ground!
