Tunnel tents are tried & tested designs and similar models feature in all the major tent manufacturers' ranges (not least Vango's) so in design terms, the Nitro Lite 200 is an excellent balance between size, weight, strength and quality. Unlike a lot of 'two man' lightweight tents, it is genuinely roomy enough for two but is easily light enough (and positively palatial) for solo use. The porch is big enough to store rucksacks and for cooking undercover and critically for use in the UK climate, it pitches flysheet first or flysheet and inner simultaneously, so the inner is kept dry. However there is a fly in the ointment: the Nitro Lite's lighter, higher spec materials are reflected in the price and as Vango's Spirit 200 Tent is an identical design which performs equally well and can be found for half the price, it hardly seems worth paying twice as much just to save less than a kilo in weight.
