I decided to buy the updated pair of Brasher Supalite II GTX after having a pair of the originals that have had two soles on them. The first thing that I noticed about the boots when I took them out of the box was that the leather was not as soft and supple as my last pair (Brasher state that they are now using a UK supplier) To this end the boots have taken a little breaking in and are not as comfortable as the originals. This may be due to less padding in the tongue of the boot. The boot is still light as you would expect and they have improved the shape if you thought the original was more duck like, as has been described in other reviews I have read. Only time will tell if this boot holds up to the standards of my original brashers which I consider to be the best boot I have ever owned. As a military man and Infanteer my boots get put through the mill with runs and Tabs and my original Brasher supalites never failed me, its good to see that Brasher now do these boots in black.
