After spending hours online looking at family tents, I finally settled for this one and I am so glad that I did. On our first camping trip in it we had days of wind, rain and hot sunshine. The tent stood up fantastically well to all of these conditions. There are very good design features that were good little added extras, lots of space, easy to put up and take down. Good ventilation and the skylight is a very nice touch.I had not heard of Skandika before, as they are a German company, but it arrived from Germany within 48hrs. I would definitely recommend it to any family looking for a high-quailty, spacious tent.

Survived a gale in Cumbria intact and with us dry inside. Absolutely massive. Really easy to put up and down. Takes me about 20 minutes on my own. The skylight is a really nice touch.I really LOVE this tent.Only criticism is that there is nowhere on the sides to tie the guy ropes to the tent (that I could find) so I tied them to the poles. Take note of the weight as I find it very heavy, and it also takes up a lot of room in the car (but worth it!).

I bought my tent last summer and used it for the first time in September. Had a fabulous weekend in it, very roomy, and brilliant in every way..... until..... there was a sudden gust of wind and with no warning three of the tent poles simply bent and/or snapped collapsing the whole tent inwards.I'm now trying to buy new tent poles to give it another chance, but it has made me very wary, the weather had not been that bad, the tent was correctly erected, we are experienced campers, and no other tent seemed to suffer the same fate....Pretty devastating to be honest. I hope that Skandika are going to offer advice, but am awaiting a response to my email... further post if I get a reply.
