If you're not familiar with the black crackle version, the nearest thing to compare it to would be the metal side panel of a black PC tower unit - similar textured finish. I opted for this finish to stop the problem with finger marks or grease marks or i would be forever wiping the thing in an OCD fashion so the textured finish is perfect for me.The rest of it is the usual Zippo quality so no surprises there. It feels great in your hand - nice weight to it and best of all the reassuring 'kerchunk' when it closes. Some things you can't improve on Zippo is one of them. Love itTC

Works fine indoors or out, even in strong winds.I think the lighter fuel I put in it has evaporated a bit because I need to keep topping it up even though I don't use it much.But I don't care because I've wanted a proper lighter for years and now I've finally got one. I'm so proud of it, sounds silly but it's such a quality item, Zippo are THE best!

I love Zippo lighters, and this one is no exception. The black crackle Zippo is great if you can't stand your lighter being covered in fingerprints, and the Zippo name assures you American quality, plus all Zippos come with a lifetime warranty. What could be better?
