There's no getting away from the fact that this is an expensive tent. However, I think this is one of those items where you get what you pay for. I bought one of these tents several years ago to do the Pennine Way with my (adult) son and it served us very well. Yes, it was a bit cramped with two adults and associated kit, but that's what has to be sacrificed if you want to be ultralite backpackers! Having said that, the headroom in this tent allows you to sit up (albeit one at a time) to get dressed or eat a meal etc.Vaude appear to have amended the construction of the foot end of the tent to give greater stability in strong wind - the tent I bought was prone to lateral movement in a strong side-wind (this was my only criticism of this otherwise excellent tent).Although the tent is designed to be erected all-in-one we separated the inner tent from the flysheet and shared the weight. Having swapped the supplied pegs for some longer alloy pegs, and ditching the bag for the poles, we ended up carrying less than one kilo each - lighter than many bivvy bags.I thoroughly recommend this tent for two campers wanting to minimise the weight they're carrying, or for one camper wanting a lightweight tent with a bit more room.
